Over centuries in any educational institute, library has been a place of undisputed knowledge and certainly ours is no exception to this. It is more difficult to obtain the quality and resourceful books than good grade equipment.
Over years definite efforts are made to obtain teacher texts and references beyond the purchase of routines students’ text. Around Thirteen Thousand books are available in library and the cost of books amount to 32,92,372/-.
Library is well equipped with Internet facility, computerized library automation, reading hall facility, which is made available to students as well as staff members for full time. In addition to this we also have membership of British Council Library-Access 20 facility, Autamative Research Association of India and Developing Library Network for student and staff.
The library is well equipped with prominent national and international Journals like Dr.Dobb’s IEEE,Electronics Design, Modern Plastic,ASME Journals-Tribology,Harvard Business Review. There are National Journals -105 and International -43.Total cost of national and international Journals is Rs. 5,00,000/-.Subscription amount for Electronics Resources is Rs.98,300/-.Library also has several Manuals and Handbooks, Machinery’s Handbook, Instrument Engineers Handbook of Process Measurement & Analysis, Circuits & Filters Handbook, The Electrical Engineering Handbook, and Nano Technology Encyclopedia.
We have subscribed to Digital Engineering Library(DEL) & Engineering Science Data Unit(ESDU),Electronic Resources through INDEST-AICTE Consortism.
Every year library undertakes extra activity. In 2003-2004 book exhibition was organised.In 2004-2005 one day librarians workshop at local level was organized. In February 2006 various publishers book exhibition was organized. Library has undertaken a project of digital library.
